Product Installation
SIMetrix and SIMetrix/SIMPLIS share a single common installer. You need to run this installer when performing a clean installation or when updating to a new feature release version. For the regular minor updates within a feature release, the internal update tool will perform the update within SIMetrix and SIMetrix/SIMPLIS.
New Installation
For new installations, the downloadable installer that will perform the installation automatically.
For the downloadable installer, once the download is complete, run the installation program and follow the on-screen instructions. SIMetrix and SIMetrix/SIMPLIS should be installed onto a local drive.
When you start the program for the first time, you will need to provide details of your license. For full details, click here
Update Product
For regular service updates (identifiable by changes to the letter following the version number where no new username and password is provided), installation can occur from within the SIMetrix or SIMetrix/SIMPLIS application. For feature updates (identifiable by changes to the version number and where a new username and password has been provided by email), you will need to download the new installer and update as if it were a new installation.
To perform a regular service update, or to check for updates, run the menu: and follow the onscreen instructions. By default automatic updates do not occur, this menu option can be used to schedule automatic updates to be applied.
